Kevin Cross
With complex new real estate regulations and some of the world’s most prestigious island properties, the Bahamas requires a broker with exceptional dedication and skill. In this challenging market, Private Islands Inc. works exclusively with established broker Kevin Cross CEO of Nassau-based Private Islands Brokerage and Cross and Mosko Real Estate and Development Company. Licensed as both a broker and appraiser by the Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA), and Director of Private Islands Inc., Kevin has built a successful 18 year career specializing in high-value residential property and private islands. His singular commitment to the needs of his clients has resulted in the successful purchase of islands by high-net worth individuals, major developers, and resort groups. Also an active participant in the Bahamas real estate community, Kevin has served as both a Director and Honorary Secretary of the BREA.
Andrew J Welsh
As the Director of Operations for Private Islands Inc., Andrew John Welsh brings a diverse skill set specifically suited to the needs and concerns of island owners. Andrew comes to us from an executive role in a Canadian-based media and production company, but his true value lies in his experience in international tourism and business development. He has lived, worked and studied internationally in more than 30 countries across five continents pursuing his passion for languages and creating interesting partnerships along the way. With an environmentally focused Master of Communications degree, Andrew is committed to the principles of stewardship and sound ecological island development.
Tom Bakkum
The CEO and co-founder of a prominent Panama City brokerage and development firm, Tom Bakkum MSc. brings extensive international experience to his role as a Director for Private Islands Inc. After a successful career as a senior project manager for the United Nations, Tom arrived in Panama in 1997 and quickly realized the potential of the country’s booming real estate, financial and tourism industries. Founded on the principles of “trust, transparency and dedication”, Land Capital Group has become one of the most respected names in Central American real estate, managing large-scale development projects and assisting celebrities and other affluent individuals in real estate purchases. His entrepreneurial drive is supported by a strong sense of ethics, and his company has also been a key member of numerous local environmental and humanitarian endeavours. Private Islands Inc. is pleased to work in partnership with Tom as our primary international island broker.
